It's been absolutely ages since I did anything to this site, and yet we're still getting over 200 visitors a day. Not bad for a site that's 14 years old. My goodness I've had this site for half my lifetime. Must find time to do a proper update sometime!
Anyway, reason for today's update is that since the site moved hosts last September I hadn't realised that the file downloads weren't linked up properly. Sorry guys, my bad. It all got a bit hectic as I moved house shortly after and since then it's been a pretty eventful year. Have fixed all the links now though, so the various downloads should be accessible!
I've also updated the dates in the site footer, and more importantly have fixed the search box which has been broken for a while too I guess!
Keep on Shining :)

It's now been a very long time since I did any updates, but on checking a section of the site today I spotted some broken links - Zod only knows how long they've been broken, but I've fixed them now - let me know if you find any other broken links or images around here. At some point I do hope to make time to overhaul the site a bit, finish off stuff that's been waiting for years (like the town maps section I fixed today) and make this site generally more accessible, while integrating it with SFC's SFII content. I ought to get the copyright dates updated at the bottom of the pages sometime too. When I PHP this site, it'll be so much easier ;)
Anyhoo, life's been busy for a while now and this evening is no exception - time to go finish making dinner!

Today this site turns 7 years old!
So, it's been a whole year since I last updated this place? Seems like I should start thinking about doing an update soon then ;) Despite the lack of updates, the site is doing as well as ever, and I'd like to thank you all for supporting it over the last seven years!

Today this site turns 6 years old!
As an anniversary 'present', I've finished a project I began on the site's 5th anniversary: the translation of Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict, the story of which links those of the original Shining Force and Shining Force II. It's well worth a read if you haven't done so already!
Thanks very much for all your support over the last 6 years!

I've found a new host for the ROMs (for those of you who don't know, I'm leaving my job, and therefore losing my webspace there), and have added the Japanese Shining Force I ROM I found not so long ago ;)
Very little else has changed, but if you find any links to files/sites that aren't working, please let me know!
Also, don't forget to support the campaign for a new Shining Force game!

Updated a couple of the FAQs.
Also, I've written another few chapters of my story, I'll try to type them up this week!

Well, I finally finished the redesign! There's quite a bit of new stuff in the site, including full details on Land Effect, and another chapter of my story. I still have a lot of fan art and things to add, so for now I'll just have to let you explore the site :) Rest assured that I'll soon put up a proper updates list again!
Look out for the icons, you can click on these to view a relevant picture.
Established in May of 1996, the Ultimate Shining Force II Guide has been providing fans of this game with all the information they could need for more than 5 years! If you can't find what you need to know, then the information is unlikely to be found elsewhere... but you could always try Shining Force Central.
Navigate the site using the links along the top. When you're in a section of the site (such as Characters, Weapons etc), a sub-navigation will appear on the left, to help you locate the exact information you require. A search option is also available throughout the site, in case you're in a hurry or having trouble finding the information you require.
Also, a quick apology for the number of banners on this site. I've tried to put them in places that won't interfere with the design & functionality of the site. I've looked into hosting elsewhere, but due to the amount of bandwidth my site uses (about 19GB per month!), it would be very, very expensive. So, I guess a couple of banners are preferable to a bill of about $500 per month!
